Pros: Good sound and quality, good volume, unique and attractive design

Edifier's Prisma desktop speakers are a great accessory for desktop owners who are looking for more volume and sound quality than the built in computer speakers. They come with two satellite left and right speakers, and a subwoofer. They're unique design and shape sets them apart from many other options on the market, and in my opinion the unique design is also very attractive. Coming in a clean black or white color they look good on a computer desk, and the sound is definitely fuller than what any built in iMac or Mac Mini speakers can offer.
 
They come with an independent volume knob, making it very easy to quickly change the volume with a simple twist. The knob also happens to have an aux input and headphones output, making them even more versatile when it comes to audio sources. Their maximum volume is surprising loud, and definitely enough to drown out any other noises in a small, or even a large room. When you begin to max out the volume you will notice a small degradation in sound quality, though if you live in an apartment building and don't want to disturb your neighbors I wouldn't recommend maxing the volume out often.
 
Perhaps the only disappointing thing about these speakers is the subwoofer. While definitely noticeable, its somewhat lack-luster in my opinion. You don't get that satisfying low end thump that you might come to expect out of a nice high quality subwoofer, however for the moderate price they're definitely a good deal, and an excellent compliment to any desktop computer.
